This is the top section of the original sea pole which stood beside the Skerries RNLI lifeboat house for most of the 1900’s and has been conserved and preserved by artist Paul D’Arcy as an artwork.

The sculpture pays homage to the sea and those who sail upon it.

They were ‘passed on press’ by the artist to ensure colour quality, a faithfulness to the original work and have been printed on 220grm ‘Huntsman Velvet’ paper. All collectible editions are limited to two hundred and fifty prints.

It also coincided with my interest in cosmic space and the theory of quantum physics  … today I’m more interested in a comic spiritualism and a general awe for the unexplainable.
